KEY MOTORSPORTS NOW ADDING SALES STAFF
TO ITS CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES ORGANIZATION
MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (August 11, 2006) – Continuing to expand its NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series organization, Key Motorsports is now adding a sales department to its operation.
Team owner Curtis W. Key, Sr. recently hired three new shop employees after announcing that the team would enter its #40 Chevrolet Silverado race trucks in all of the remaining races on the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule. That prompted talented, young driver Ryan Moore to add his name to the long list of eligible drivers in the
Raybestos Brakes Rookie-of-the-Year program and to commit to drive the #40 Chevrolets for the balance of the year.
Key indicated that the addition of a sales staff to compliment the efforts of his existing marketing staff is another step in his commitment to field a competitive fixture in the Craftsman Truck Series garage every week.
“With our shop effort stabilized under the guidance of Barry (Crew Chief Dodson), and Ryan (Moore) steadily helping to improve our on-track effort, the next logical step for us is to work even harder to find sponsorship support to keep the effort moving forward,” Key stated.
“Rich Rubenstein (Vice President of Operations) and his staff have been working tirelessly to get us financial support, and the more help they can get the better off we will be. That is why I’ve decided to add additional sales personnel at this time,” Key added.
A successful plumbing and HVAC contractor in Chesapeake, Virginia, Key has built a solid racing infrastructure on his 5.5-acre campus in the new Mooresville Performance Park located just off of North Carolina State Highway 152 East.
Key owns two sister race shops that sit on the property and has recently completed an office expansion phase to the building in which his truck team operates. This initial expansion added seven offices, two conference rooms, a shock dyno room, media room, break room for employees and a storage area.
A second expansion phase to the race shop itself is now underway that will add 3,750 square feet of additional fabrication and preparation work space. This phase is expected to be completed by late fall.
