Buck Commander Back To Key Motorsports

Bad Boy Buggies, the Mississippi based manufacturer of the world's first dual motor, all electric 4 wheel drive vehicle, will along with associate Buck Commander again be featured on the #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet with driver Mike Bliss in Saturday's Stater Brothers 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series event at California's Auto Club Speedway. Mike Bliss Returns To Key Motorsports To Kick Off 
2010 Nationwide Series Season

Mike Bliss will return to the seat of the #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet to kick off the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, Key Motorsports officials announced today. Bliss is locked in the seat of the #40 for the first three events of the Nationwide Series schedule, the Camping World 300 at Daytona February 13th, the Stater Brothers 300 at Auto Club Speedway February 20th and the Sam's Town 300 at Las Vegas on February 27th. Both Key Motorsports and Bliss are hopeful sponsorship will allow for Bliss to remain in the car for the full 35 race schedule. Read More!


Key Motorsports Continues Sponsorship Search

Key Motorsports is continuing its effort to locate a marketing partner following a successful NASCAR Nationwide Series campaign in 2009. The #40 Chevrolet finished 21st in owner points after beginning the season without any points or provisional. Key Motorsports and NNS Crew Chief Tommy Morgan Part Ways

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (Tuesday, March 3, 2009) – Owner Curtis Key has announced today that Key Motorsports and NASCAR Nationwide Series crew chief Tommy Morgan will part ways, effective immediately. The decision for Morgan's departure from the team was mutual.

Morgan served as the team's competition director for two seasons before being promoted to crew chief of Key Motorsports' first full-time Nationwide Series team early this year. The team's No. 40 NNS entry, driven by Scott Wimmer, has attempted three races, but failed to qualify for the February 21st race at Auto Club Speedway. Wimmer scored his best Key Motorsports finish this past weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway when he took the checkered flag in 11th.

The team's full-time Nationwide effort will not stall, despite Tommy Morgan's departure. Key Motorsports' NASCAR Camping World Truck Series crew chief Gary Showalter, who led the Nationwide Series effort in Las Vegas last weekend, will continue to serve as interim crew chief while the team searches for a replacement.

"The decision for Key Motorsports and Tommy Morgan to separate was very much a joint conclusion," stated team owner Curtis Key. "We will part ways on terms agreeable to both myself and Tommy, and I wish him luck in all future endeavors."

The next stop for the NASCAR Nationwide Series is Bristol Motor Speedway on March 21st.

It was more of the same at Daytona for former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion Mike Bliss, who tallied his third 33rd place finish in the Truck Series season opener.
