Starting from the 31st position in Friday night's Dollar General 300 powered by Key Motorsports Driver Mike Bliss is awaiting his slot for a qualifying run at Chicagoland in the No. 40 PhillipsChevy.com / Key Motorsports PR With the team's sights set on a top-10 finish, Bliss lined up 16th for the final restart on lap 201, just behind a contingent of cars that would create the "big-one" while battling to the white flag one lap later. Making unavoidable contact with out of control competitors, the PhillipsChevy.com/Key Motorsports machine escaped with damage to the right front fender area, allowing Bliss to continue around the 1.5-mile superspeedway and cross the finish line 18th, on the lead lap.
"We were making a run when everything broke loose," explained Bliss. "We were able to keep our nose clean all day, until right there at the end," Showalter said. "It didn't do any major damage to the car, so we're ok.
