STRUTMASTERS.COM SEEKS HELUVA GOOD!
TIME WITH KEY MOTORSPORTS
Driver Mike Bliss inhabits the seat of the #40 Strutmasters.com Chevrolet for the return of Key Motorsports to the Monster Mile. The one-race sponsorship reunites Oregon native with old friends that sponsored many of his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series engagements.
Team Owner Curtis Key, Sr. wants to thank Chip and Dwayne for believing in Key Motorsports and providing support during economic times that have been hard on everyone. The last-minute primary sponsorship agreement will place the Strutmasters.com logos on the hood, quarter panels, and TV panel of the red-and-white #40
Chevrolet.
The Key Motorsports Crew Prepares for the Race!
Bliss has accumulated 6 starts in the Sprint Cup Series as well as 3 Top-5s for 3 starts in the Truck Series at Dover, to bolster his record of two Top-10s and 4 Top-5s in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In his last six races at Dover, the past Truck Series champion has an Average Running Position of 9.4, 65 Fastest Laps
Run, 58 Laps Led and a Laps in the Top 15 percentage of 76.6. Bliss finished second in his most recent event at the concrete oval for the Nationwide event in September of 2009, as well as in September of 2008. Key Motorsports looks to improve their best finish of 14th, also from the September 2009 event.
For over 10 years, Strutmasters has been helping the automotive community get the best deals on all of their suspension needs. Key commented, "Strutmasters has a great product and service through their online store." Strutmasters.com accompanied Bliss on the side of his truck to Victory Lane at Atlanta in the
fall of 2006.
Quotes and Facts:
MONSTER WARMS UP TO FANS - In the 40 year history of the facility, fans have gone from seeing their favorite drivers hindered by a split pair of pit roads through addition of slot machines to the pari-mutuel horse racing facilities; hosting the first event after September 11th, 2001; a viewing bridge for fans to sit
over the track in 2004; and full circle as the last track converting to a single 43 stall service path in 2009.
FAMILIAR STOMPING GROUNDS - The history of Key Motorsports at Dover goes back to 1993 with Bobby Hamilton driving at a time when the track configuration only supported 42 cars in the pits at a time. The #40 car never had to experience sharing a stall in the then-narrow pit road.
