A DISAPPOINTING FINISH AT LOWE’S MOTOR SPEEDWAY
As the season draws near the end, Key Motorsports want to thank Westerman Companies for their continued support of the #40 Key Motorsports race season.
After 2 qualifying laps the #40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet had to use their owner’s points to make the Charlotte race on Saturday night. Wimmer started the race in 40th place. Gary Showalter had this to say “ we have had a big struggle at the 1.5 mile tracks this year.” “ We are still searching to improve are
runs at these tracks.”
During the course of the race the pit crew changed air pressures, wedge adjustments and the #40 Westerman Companies / Key Motorsports Chevrolet would not react to these changes. The car remained on the tight side thru out the entire race. After great pit stops, Wimmer was able to say with the pack of cars. After a few
cautions Wimmer was able to bring the #40 Westerman Companies / Key Motorsports Chevrolet home in 25th place.
Curtis Key's No. 40 remains 22nd in the NNS owner standings after Scott Wimmer’s 25th place finish at Lowe‘s Motor Speedway. The Key Motorsports Chevrolet is now 103 points behind 21st place in owners standings.
