SIDE-BY-SIDE – The NASCAR Nationwide Series will be adopting the shootout-style double-file restarts at this weekend’s race at Daytona International Speedway. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series premiered the double-file restart three weeks ago at Pocono Raceway.
COME SAY HI – Driver Scott Wimmer will be participating in this weekend’s Daytona International Speedway autograph session. The session will take place on Friday, July 3rd from 5:30-6:30 PM ET at the Sprint FANZONE in the DIS infield.
CHASSIS INFORMATION – Key Motorsports will be utilizing chassis #050 at this weekend's race at Daytona International Speedway. #050 is the same chassis the team brought to Daytona for the 2009 season-opener, as well as to Talladega Superspeedway earlier this year. The body has since been completely rebuilt in
anticipation of this weekend’s superspeedway race.
POINTS UPDATE – Wimmer’s 17th place finish gave Key Motorsports a huge boost in the NASCAR Nationwide Series owner point standings once again, bumping the No. 40 from 26th to 24th. Curtis Key’s entry now sits 120 points inside the top-30, and is locked into the race for the third week in a row.
