KEY MOTORSPORTS AND JEFF GREEN PUT ON A SHOW AT TALLADEGA
MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (October 7, 2008) – Key Motorsports and Jeff Green brought their #40 NASCAR Craftsman truck into Talladega, Alabama this weekend in front of 70,000 anxious race fans in preparation for an excellent race day.
Coming off of a 7th place finish at Las Vegas, the team had high hopes and big dreams. The #40 truck had qualified 28th but that didn’t trouble Jeff Green. With the ease and skill a Busch Champion, he piloted the truck up to 7th place by lap 20.
Solid pit stops and dialing the truck in kept everything on point for Crew Chief Lance Hooper who said, “The truck was competitive, it ran good, and the pit stops were good”. Team and driver consistency put the #40 truck in the top 10 during the entire race. “The truck was on, the team was on, and we were good”,
stated [Jeff] Green. Unfortunately, on the last lap, a bevy of trucks started to spin, turn, and grind metal. The final result was the Key Motorsports truck being collected in an accident and winding up with a 21st place finish.
Overcoming the obstacles, the Key Motosports team is staying focused and forging ahead. The are looking forward to more top 10 finishes in the truck with [Jeff]
Green. The Trucks have off this weekend, but Key Motorsports will be fielding the #31 Nationwide car in Friday Night’s race at Lowes Motor Speedway. [Jeff] Green will once again be at the helm and in his element for the action packed “race under the lights” at the legendary speedway. “We are really looking
forward to Friday night’s race. Our trucks are good, our cars are good, and our team and drivers are all starting to gel together”, stated Key, “it will be a good night under the lights!”.
