SOLID RUN SECURES TOP 20 FINISH FOR GREEN
Finish of 18th Gets Key Motorsports Turning in Right Direction
MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (September 8, 2008) – Third times the charm as proven by Jeff Green. The team entered Madison, Illinois looking to gain momentum, and their goal was attained. Green, in his third consecutive truck series start for Key Motorsports, piloted the #40 Chevrolet to a solid 18th place finish in
the Camping World 200 at Gateway International Speedway.
Within the two hour, eight-caution competition, dominated by race winner Ron Hornaday, Jr., Green took advantage of others’ misfortune and maintained a steady run throughout the race. With this run, owner Curtis Key improved one position to 28th in the owner’s battle, while driver Jeff Green is continuing his march
up the driver’s points improving nine spots to 46th.
“Tonight was truly a team effort,” says Green. “Everyone kept digging and digging, and with that we were able to have a solid night.”
“We all definitely learned a lot during this race, and gathered great information to keep developing the team.”
Crew Chief Lance Hooper echoed these sentiments. “It was a great effort by team, and it is races like these that help to reflect how we are.” “Of course we were pulling for a top ten run, but the finish does not always reflect on the hard work put forth by the teams. I am proud of the guys, and know we can keep
this going.”
The team is back in the shop getting prepared to run in the Camping World RV Rental 200 at New Hampshire International Raceway.
